Register for the CCS Transition Fair!
Got an IEP or 504 Plan? Get help planning your child's future at the Transition Fair!
On Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at East High School, Columbus City Schools presents the 2024 Transition Fair. The Fair seeks to help caregivers who have children with learning exceptionalities create a pathway for life-long student success. Families interested in attending the Transition Fair can register at bit.ly/CCSTransitionFair2024 to experience more than 50+ community organizations, guest speakers, and family fun with FREE Cleveland Cavaliers 30 minute basketball clinics and Touch-a-Truck.

All Aboard the Pathway Express! First Stop: Veteran's Memorial & Museum
Pathway Express speeds full-steam ahead to arrive at its first destination of the year – the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on September 14!
This experience includes activities and resources to expose students to service-learning outside the classroom. Students and their families will enjoy FREE admission from September 1st through November 30th, as they explore and honor stories of courage and sacrifice.

Open House
We hope to see you this Tuesday, September 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for our Open House. During our Open House, you will have a chance to meet members of our staff, tour the school, and learn how to best partner with us to support your student. There will also be a special presentation at 5:30 p.m. about graduation requirements.

Dr. Johnson's Weekly Update
Hello Vikings,
This is Principal Johnson with your weekly update.
Please make an effort each day to have students arrive at school by 7:15 a.m. in order to enjoy breakfast and make it to class on time. Classes begin promptly at 7:30 a.m.
Please be mindful that Northland has a closed lunch policy. That means that students are not allowed to leave school or have food delivered to the school during their lunch period. If students violate this policy, they are subject to discipline. Your support is appreciated.

CCS Alum Dreams Big, Achieves More at 2024 Paris Olympics
On the corner of Karl Road and Sandalwood Boulevard in the Northland neighborhood of Columbus, lives the YMCA, where in 2000, five-year-old Alexis Peterson first discovered basketball. Twenty-four years later, the basketball star made history as she competed at the world’s largest and most prestigious stage - the 2024 Paris Olympics, for a chance at one of the highest honors - a gold medal.
