City League Stars showcases CCS' outstanding student-athletes and their collegiate goals.

Taizaun Burns, class of 2025, is an elite running back out of East High School. He quickly made a name for himself during his breakout season this year scoring 30 touchdowns and rushing for 1,379 yards (as of the first two weeks of the playoffs), while being named first team all district and first team all city.

Coach Mike Bell believes Taizaun has all the tools necessary to play football at the Division 1 level because of the way he excels in the classroom and on the field. Taizaun believes getting good grades is important in order to meet his life goals, and he wants to go to college to prove something to a lot of people.
