Columbus City Schools' High Schools Ranked Among U.S. News & World Reports Best
April 23, 2024 – U.S. News & World Report has released its list of the 2024 Best U.S. High Schools in Ohio and across the country, and Columbus Alternative High School (CAHS) is in the Top 25 in the State of Ohio.
A total of 705 high schools were evaluated in Ohio, and 25,000 high schools were considered nationwide. CAHS ranked No. 16 in the State of Ohio with an overall score of 97.11 out of a possible maximum score of 100.
“I continue to be very proud as the school leader of Columbus Alternative High School,” said Principal Dr. Darryl Sanders. “We have been honored to receive the U.S. News recognition for over 10 years. CAHS’ success can be attributed to a dedicated, competent faculty, supportive parent community, and students who actualize the CAHS motto: CAHS, where Excellence is our standard and not the exception.”
