CCS Appoints Dr. Todd Walker as new Chief Curriculum and Instruction Officer
July 13, 2022 -- Columbus City Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Todd A. Walker has accepted the position of Chief Curriculum and Instruction Officer.
Dr. Walker is a dynamic educator who has built a solid reputation for his unwavering and visionary leadership and service to the children and families of Columbus City Schools. Dr. Walker will assume his new role effective August 1.
During his 22-year tenure with the District, Dr. Walker has demonstrated commitment to ensuring all students learn to their maximum potential and fostering innovation through collaboration with teachers, staff, students, and families. In his recent role as director and high school principal at Columbus Africentric Early College (CAEC), Dr. Walker ensures all students succeed inside and outside the classroom.

The Chief Curriculum and Instruction Officer has the primary authority and accountability to ensure the delivery of high-quality instructional resources, enhance classroom practice, and scale effective programming to increase student achievement and prepare all students for college, career, and life.
Dr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, a Master of Education in English, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University. Additionally, Dr. Walker holds a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School.
