November 9, 2021 -- The Columbus City Schools Facilities Master Plan (FMP) process needs your input now more than ever.

The District just wrapped up Phase 5 CONSIDER. It introduced the various limitations and opportunities the District faces to provide students, staff, and the community with learning environments and facilities that support 21st-century learning. If you didn't get the chance to join us for our Phase 5 CONSIDER, you could still experience the process using our interactive, hands-on exercise. It's easy to do.

Download and print out an electronic version of the simulation so that you can get involved. Once you print out on your own or pick up a copy, follow the directions as outlined in the document and complete the simulation. You'll be able to reassess the structure of each region by considering educational and extracurricular programming, grade-level configurations, enrollment data, and the optimal use of existing facilities. Then provide your feedback.

Then take photos of your finished maps and email the images to facilitiesmasterplan@columbus.k12.oh.us. You may also drop off your completed board(s) at 270 E. State St., Columbus, OH 43215.

If you can't print a copy, a limited supply of 11x17 hard copies will be available at every CCS school and office location this week. You're encouraged to call ahead before stopping by.

Your participation is invaluable. If you have any questions, you can also send an email to the same address facilitiesmasterplan@columbus.k12.oh.us.
