January 12, 2022 -- Do you know a teacher who has made a difference in your life? Someone who really believed in you and made a difference in the classroom? If so, nominate them to receive this year’s Teacher of the Year awards.

Columbus Parent magazine and ThisWeek Community News are seeking nominations for the 2022 Teachers of the Year awards. All school representatives (colleagues, administrators, and others), parents, and students are invited to nominate a deserving educator from their building by Jan 24, 2022.

“It's no secret that amid the pandemic, many parents and students are more appreciative than ever of the role educators play in the lives of children,” said Julanne Hohback, Editor of Columbus Parent Magazine.

Nominations can be submitted by visiting ColumbusParent.com/Teachers to learn more and fill out the nomination form. Nominators will supply the teacher’s name, grade/subject taught, school, and a personal statement telling us why this person deserves to be named as one of our Teachers of the Year.

Fifteen finalists will be chosen for the awards—five each at the elementary school, middle school, and high school levels. Ms. Hohbach said that the magazine would like to honor teachers who positively impact their students, schools, and communities alike and are teacher leaders at the school and district levels.

Recognize and celebrate your favorite educators by submitting your nomination. Remember the deadline is two weeks away, January 24. 

Winners will be featured in the Summer issue of Columbus Parent and in ThisWeek Community News.
