• Windsor STEM Academy is a Title 1 school.

    What does this mean?

A Title 1 building is a school that receives additional funding from government programs to help level the educational playing field in socio-economically disadvantaged areas.

As a parent in a Title 1 served building, you have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child's classroom teacher, including the following:

    • Whether the teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas taught
    • Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or temporary status through which state qualifications or licensing criteria are waived
    • The teachers baccalaureate degree major, graduate certification or degree, and field of discipline
    • Whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, thier qualifications

Title 1 also requires that parents of students at the title school have a say in the way title funds are used for educational purposes.

A copy of Windsor's parental involvement policy can be found HERE.
