  • Reading Improvement & Monitoring Plans (R.I.M.P.)

Students in grades K-5 who are not reading on-grade level have been identified as not on-track.  Each student who is not on track will be placed on a Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan.  This document details what teachers are doing to address reading deficits.  Your child’s R.I.M.P. is available on the Parent Portal and requires your electronic signature.  Please take the time to thoroughly read the plan and contact your child’s teacher with specific questions or for strategies that you can use to support your child’s reading improvement.

  • IMPORTANT CLASS DOJO UPDATE

    Dear Easthaven Families:

Ohio Senate Bill  29 takes effect October 24, 2024.  The bill regards education records and student privacy data.
As a result of the law's enactment, communication with parents on Class Dojo or similar platforms will be suspended.  As a district, we must ensure that the technology platform for Class Dojo and others is compliant with state law.
District leaders and the CCS Legal Department are working with the owners of Class Dojo to seek a satisfactory resolution regarding data privacy and the Ohio Law.  As soon as a resolution is reached, you will be informed.
We will continue to communicate through traditional methods:  phone calls, emails, and newsletters.  For a list of staff email addresses, please log on to the CCS Web page select the OURSCHOOLS tab, go to Easthaven, Click on information and select Staff Directory.
Thanks for your patience as we work toward a satisfactory resolution.
