Our Future, Our CCS Workshop Series
Dr. Angela Chapman and the Columbus Board of Education invite you to join us for interactive public town hall meetings to discuss how to prioritize students in the classrooms while the District cuts its future budget.
This is more than a conversation; it’s a call to action. Make your voice heard to help Columbus City Schools build the best possible future for our students.

CCS is a No Phone Zone District
Research shows that when students disconnect from their cell phones during the school day, they become more attentive, perform better academically, and develop stronger connections with their teachers and peers. Our goal is not to penalize, but to create learning environments where every student is fully engaged and distraction-free.

Dear Duxberry Arts IMPACT Elementary Families,
-
Dear Families,
The 2025–2026 school year is underway! We are approaching the end of the 1st grading period and I hope your student has gotten acclimated to their classroom culture. Thank you for sending them to school ready to learn.
This year continues to bring fresh opportunities for students to learn, grow, and connect. We are eager to partner with you in supporting your child’s academic success and personal development. Together, we’ll continue to nurture curiosity, creativity, and kindness throughout our school community.
Please review the following policies to ensure your student is prepared and ready for the school day: attendance, start time, late procedure, dismissal procedure, staff and school visitation, cell phone policy, and staff communications.
Upcoming events are below and on the school calendar. Fall Parent Conference is on the 29th from 4:00-7:15 pm. We have our monthly Parent meeting on the 15th and our Community engagement Paint Party on the 16th. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out. Your partnership and involvement are key to your child’s success.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Let’s work together to make this year one of growth, discovery, and achievement!
Warmly,
Principal Berrios-Brown
