2022 Franklin County Conservation Poster Contest
May 6, 2022 -- Nearly 1,000 students, from 16 different schools in 6 different school districts within Franklin County participated in this year’s 2022 Franklin County Conservation Poster Contest around the theme of “Healthy Soil: Healthy Life.”
Multiple Columbus City School artists from all grade levels participated and several were recognized for their work:
Grades K-2 Winners:
- #1 - Aleigha Jacobs, Grade 1, East Columbus Elementary School, Mr. Delaney
- #2 - Ayoka Murphy-Pennywell, Grade 2, Leawood Elementary School, Mrs. Carter
- #3 - Angie Perez, Grade 1, Leawood Elementary, Mrs. Niemann
Grade 3 Winners:
- #2 - Claire McGraw, Grade 3, Leawood Elementary School, Mr. Williamson
- Honorable Mention - Ashanti Tisdale, Grade 3, Shady Lane Elementary, Miss Suver
Grade 4-5 Winners:
- #2 - Gabriella Voueth, Grade 4, Leawood Elementary, Mrs. Butler
Grades 9-12 Winners:

Grades 7-12 Digital:
- Honorable Mention - Erin Allison, Grade 10, Columbus Alternative High School, Mrs. Barkeloo
Winning artwork will be featured on select Orange Barrel Media Digital Kiosks May 8-14, 2022. Keep an eye out for these kiosks in the Arena District, downtown and areas surrounding downtown.
Poster Contest winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony at Franklin Park Conservatory on May 21, 2022.
