December 7, 2022 -- Applications for all I Know I Can college funding sources are now available and live on the I Know I Can website. The development team has mailed a postcard listing all funding sources and their deadlines that should arrive at students’ homes by the end of next week. Students should be prepared to upload a copy of their unofficial transcript and their 2023-24 Student Aid Report (if applicable) to submit their applications.

An overview of all funding sources:
FOUNDERS’ SCHOLARSHIP (worth up to $10,000/year) - Deadline: Feb. 3rd
- Minimum HS GPA: 3.0
- Four years of continuous enrollment in CCS
- Completion of IKIC College Access Milestones
- Two (2) Personal Statements Required:
- Describe what details of your life (personal, family, people, or events) have influenced your life and your goals. When did you decide you wanted to go to college? What have you learned or experienced since making the decision that further stimulates or reinforces your conviction to get a college education?
- You are given all the resources you need (people, research, knowledge, money) to solve a global problem. What is the problem and how would you solve it? How would this solution positively impact the Columbus community?
- Two (2) Recommendation Letters Required:
- All recommendation letters should be typed, double-spaced, in 12-point font. No longer than one page long.
- One letter must be from your high school principal, counselor, or teacher.
- Must be from a non-family member adult who knows you well
*In the new system students now have the availability to submit a request to their recommenders BEFORE their application has been submitted. Students should create their online account in the new portal and complete this step sooner than later. Completed applications and ALL supporting documents including recommendation letter are due by February 3rd.
DREAM BIG SCHOLARSHIP (worth up to $3,500/year) – Deadline: March 1st
- Minimum HS GPA: 2.75
- Completion of IKIC College Access Milestones
- Must be Pell-Eligible
I KNOW I CAN GRANT (worth $1,200/year) – Deadline: May 1st
- Minimum HS GPA: 2.25
- Must be Pell-Eligible
THE COLUMBUS PROMISE (worth up to full tuition at CSCC) – Deadline: May 1st
- Minimum HS GPA: none
- Enrollment at Columbus State Community College
