    Community Resources
    The district's Office of Engagement has worked with many community partners to provide support for families. District updates are released on a weekly basis and previous engagement videos can be found on the district website as well as shorter mini advice sessions.
    Learning Extension Centers
    Learning Extension Centers provide safe spaces for students to work on online learning with the support of trained community leaders. Locations include community centers and churches in neighborhoods across the city.     Holiday Assistance Deadline November 9th
    The Salvation Army wants to help as many families as possible. Registering for our Christmas Assistance Program goes until November 9th. English Flyer Espanol
    Charity Newsies Offers Clothing Assistance & Winter Coat
    Here are some REQUIRED items you will need to have in hand BEFORE you begin the online application process
    You MUST be a resident of Franklin County.
    Last 4 digits of Social Security Number or TFIN of parent or legal guardian
    Last 4 digits of Social Security Number of each child to be clothed
    Know the name of the school your child(ren) attend
    KNOW THE SIZES that your child(ren) wear!! (This is required and extremely important in order to provide correct sizing. Unfortunately, Charity Newsies is unable to exchange or return clothing, so please double (and triple) check sizing. Consider sizing up for winter and spring months as well! You need to have height and waist measurements for every child and inseam measurement for children who wear men’s size pants.

    District’s Fuel Up sites
    Library Homework Help Chat
    Columbus Metropolitan Library provides learning resources for families and homework help chat M-F 9-4. You can also sign up for a free library card to access ebooks.
    Social Emotional Learning and Support
    Nationwide Children's Hospital provides these resources and discussion ideas to support students' mental health.

    Transit Arts
    TRANSIT ARTS is offering Zoom programs for ages 12-21. Please check out our videos on Vimeo or YouTube for workshops and special activities for different age groups. Be sure to subscribe so you can get updates.
    Columbus Recreation and Parks
    Many centers are opening for activities and fitness room sessions or find videos for staying active at home (check their Twitter or Facebook accounts for ideas). Also, Therapeutic Recreation and Adapted Sports has a list of activities. Aquatics info (pre-registration required for open swim)
