    Hi Beechcroft Cougars...  BE KNOWLEDGEABLE, BE SMART!
    Please keep in mind some very important things while you continue to study and keep up on your school work...
    Eat Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with snacks in between- you know to stay away from too much fast food and leave those hot chips alone! Make sure to eat vegetables (which should be the largest food group on your plate - try different colors). You need to focus on keeping up your health and your strength, so remember.... Water, Orange Juice, and Chicken Noodle Soup! Sometimes you might not feel like eating a large meal this is when you need to eat dry crackers, ginger-ale (let it sit out so there is no fizz), bananas, rice, applesauce and dry toast (without the butter or margarine). 🍊🍌🍓🥦🥕🍅
    Sleep- You need to make sure you are getting 8-10 hours of sleep per day. Remember when you fall to sleep during the day, this is your bodies way of speaking to you letting you know "I need a break now", if you do fall asleep don't be so hard on yourself. Remember, if you do not sleep, you are going to feel groggy and unfocused. So, dim those lights, take a shower or bath, read a boring book, or have a friend who talks way too much help you go to sleep! 😂🤣
    Physical Activity- Please continue to stay in motion... Stretch first, so you make your muscles and ligaments longer and able to move better and for a longer period of time. Play the Cha-Cha slide (look, you are in your own space now), learn new dance moves, lift weights, go for a walk but remember to use social distancing (6-feet or more), walk your pet. All of you need to continue to exercise for 20 mins.. 3 days a week this will help your body stay in good shape and be healthy to fight off infection!

    Mental Health- DO NOT HIT WALLS!!!!... Take some deep breaths and walk away from the situation! If you can make a place for yourself where you can go for "Downtime", do it. Focus on your breathing even if you need to stare into space. Breathe in through your nose (for ten seconds) and out through your mouth (for ten seconds), do this for 1 minute. Make a quick stress ball (take a balloon and put flour, beads, or beans in the balloon tie together- place your anger or anxiety into the ball by squeezing and releasing motion). It will not be easy for most people to be in the same space for a long time, so go sit on your front steps, get a chair and sit in your back yard, go to the basement, if your closet is big enough go in there for a moment to get your self together.
