Good Evening Woodward Park Family. This is Paul Bailey, the proud Principal of Woodward Park, calling with a few reminders as students and families prepare for another great week of learning.

There are just 2 school days for students before the end of the first quarter on Tuesday, October 24th! There will be no school on Wednesday, October 25th for students as it is our records' day for teachers.

I want to thank all of our parents who attended parent-teacher conferences last week to monitor their students' academic progress thus far this school year. If you were unable to attend last week, all hope is not lost. We will have another evening of Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 24th from 3:30pm-7pm.

This week we will not have Mastery Academy on Tuesday for 6th graders due to parent-teacher conferences. There will be mastery academy and after-school detention on Thursday for 7th and 8th grade students.

Thank you, parents, for speaking with your students and discussing your expectations of your students while they are here at school. We have been off to a great start with the vast majority of our students demonstrating our core values of prompt, prepared, productive and polite. Thank you for ensuring your students are at school each day and on time. So far this year, we are on track to meet our goal of decreasing our chronic absenteeism by 10%. Thank you, parents, for all your efforts to help us achieve our behavior, attendance and academic goals.

Parents, thank you so much for your support of our efforts to educate, elevate and motivate every child every day as we work to achieve our vision of each student performing at or above grade level by June 2024. We look forward to seeing each student every day this week on time. Thank you and have a great evening.

     Mr. Bailey - Principal
