LTC Allmon Bio
Lieutenant Colonel Allmon was born in Grove City, Ohio. After graduating from Grove City High School he attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Aviation Management. He received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps with a branch detail to the Infantry. In 2002, while serving as a ROTC instructor, he earned a Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Labor Relations at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Upon being selected for promotion to Major, his career field was changed to Human Resource Management. Lieutenant Colonel Allmon’s military education includes Airborne School and Infantry Officer Basic Course at Fort Benning, GA; Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course at Fort Lee, VA; Combined Arms and Services Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, KS; Intermediate Level Education at Fort Lee, VA and Human Resources Command, Alexandria, VA.

Lieutenant Colonel Allmon’s previous assignments include Rifle Platoon Leader in Berlin, Germany; Mechanized Mortar and Bradley Platoon Leader, Maintenance Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in Baumholder, Germany; Materiel Manager, Group Adjutant, and Company Commander in Fort Lewis, WA; Assistant Professor of Military Science (Recruiting Operations Officer) at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA; Brigade Administrative Officer at Fort Lee, VA; and Deputy Human Resources (HR) in Wiesbaden, Germany and Tikrit, Iraq; Chief of HR Operations and Chief of HR Plans and Operations in Heidelberg, Germany; Senior HR Officer in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, and he culminated his career as the Senior HR officer for the US Army in Japan.
Lieutenant Colonel Allmon’s significant deployments include Operation Joint Endeavour in Bosnia-Herzegovina; a humanitarian assistance deployment to Comalapa El Salvador in support Operation Fuerte Apoyo; and Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09 with the 1st Armored Division.
Lieutenant Colonel Allmon’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (five Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster), Air Force Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster), National Defense Service Medal (one star), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Operation Iraqi Campaign Medal (one star), Global War on Terror Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (two stars), Army Service ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (Number 5), NATO Medal, Basic Parachutist Badge, and permanent award of the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Army Superior Unit Award (one Oak Leaf Cluster). He also wears the 1st Armored Division combat identification badge.
