• Information from our partners down the street at the Karl Road Library:

Our School Help Center opens August 19th and will be available to students who require free printing, homework help, technology access, or a quiet study space. We will be open Monday through Thursday, 4pm-7pm and Fridays, 3 – 6 pm for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.  We also have our Reading Buddies Program for K-3rd grade students. Students can come in and sign up with their library card or student success card and have a 15-minute reading session with a staff member or volunteer for extra practice on skills like decoding or to just enjoy a good book.
In our teen space, we offer a YouMedia program where teens (ages 12-17) can learn music, digital illustration, photography, and videography while building collaborative social skills and teamwork. This runs Monday through Friday 3pm-6pm. Finally for the teens who need service hours or who want to be more involved in their community we have the Teen Advisory Board. Teens will plan and run programs for teens and kids, do service projects, and help with general library tasks. It is open to teens 12-17 years old. Meetings are on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 4-5 p.m.
