    Sunday, October 25, 2020

Good Evening WP Families and Scholars,

This is Paul Bailey, the proud Principal of Woodward Park calling with some announcements and highlights. Our auto-dialer system is working again. I apologize for there not being a Sunday night message for the past couple of week as our auto-dialer system was being restored. You can always check out our website for the most up to date information.

Parents, Tuesday, October 27th is the last day of the first grading period. It is imperative that students’ complete assignments promptly, attend their zoom sessions daily and on time and utilize their teacher’s office hours to receive extra help, ask questions or to receive clarification. Parents, please also remind your student to enter their attendance daily into the student portal of Infinite Campus. Wednesday, Octo 28th is a non-attendance day for students as it is Teacher’s Records day. Students will not need to enter their attendance into the student portal this Wednesday.

Parents, just a FYI, on Wednesdays, the building will be closed and all staff will be working remotely on Wednesday’s. If you call the school, please leave a message as we will check the voicemail throughout the day on Wednesdays.

As you may already know Columbus City Schools will continue our distance learning schedule through the end of the 1st semester, on January 15, 2021. I would like to shout out our 6th grade students for averaging the highest attendance. 7th and 8th grade students I encourage you to be sure to attend your zoom sessions every day and to enter your attendance in the student portal every day.

Parent teacher conferences will be on Thursday, Nov 12th and Tuesday, Nov 17th from 3:30-7. Sign up information will be coming soon and will be posted on our website. Stay tuned for more information.

Finally parents please continue to partner with us so that we can close the learning gaps our students may experience during this national pandemic. Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much for our kids to provide them with a world class education that will prepare them for high school and beyond. Thank you for working with us, supporting your child’s teachers and for ensuring that they are engaged every day. Together we can make great things happen for all of our students. Thank you and have a great evening.
