Every AIMS student will develop to their fullest potential as an artist, creative thinker, and independent lifelong learner.
6th and 7th grade art students will explore the elements and principles of art through production, discussions and readings. Students will become acquainted with the techniques used in various media such as paint, clay, drawing, oil, plaster and collaging. Though fun and challenging projects, students will become creative, confident artists!
8th grade art students will receive a high school credit for their course and will study art history, production, and terminology related to the visual arts. Through challenging projects, students will show their developing skills throughout the entire year and become a creative, confident artist ready for their next adventure in high school.
