• What is Artists in Residency?

Artist in Residency, also known as A.I.R, is a dynamic program at Arts Impact Middle School. Each month, on the first Friday, artists from the community bring their talents, inspiring stories, and engaging hands-on activities to our students. The goal is to expose the students to diverse mediums of the arts, as well as career opportunities as an artist.

Through these enriching experiences, A.I.R. fosters creativity, connection, and inspiration, empowering the next generation of artists and dreamers.  We are fortunate to have over twenty (20) artists from the community who have committed their time to engage in the arts with students at AIMS.

Check out the impact the Artists in Residency program has had on both students, staff & artists.

    • Mr. Mastroianni (7th grade teacher) - “The Artists in Residency program at AIMS introduces us to a diverse community of artists with talents we may not have ever paid attention to. Teacher participation in each program strengthens our relationships with students, while broadening our ideas of art."
