Credits Count at Whetstone
American Electric Power Foundation has forged a partnership with Columbus State Community College and Columbus City Schools to create the Credits CountSM program.
Whetstone offers dual enrollment computer science courses through Columbus State where students can earn college credit toward a certificate or college degree in Information technology. Not only will students earn college credit they will receive support services such as college placement assessment, test preparation, college advising, and test preparation.
The Information Technology(IT) Pathway offered at Whetstone will focus on computer science and include courses in computer concepts and application, web design and development, and software programming,.
The courses count toward multiple technology programs at CSCC such as software developer, network security, web developer, and network administrator.
