• The District and our partners at the Center of Science & Industry were blown away by the incredible response from Columbus City Schools’ families visiting COSI to help kick off our new Pathway Express initiative. Every weekend in January, hundreds of students and families were able to engage in exciting STEM activities and experience COSI’s world-class exhibits. The excitement and learning continue throughout February at destination two on the Pathway Express - the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA).

    CMA’s galleries are rich with artwork from around the world, and each weekend in February, CCS families can immerse themselves in the culture and creativity the museum has to offer. In addition to viewing pieces by renowned artists, students and families can showcase their creativity in CMA’s Open Studio and hands-on activities. CCS has also partnered with the museum to provide take-home art kits (while supplies last) for Pathway Express participants.

    The District’s Family & Community Resource Day will be hosted on Saturday, February 12, and it will feature:

    • Resources and support from the CCS Family Engagement team and local partners;
    • New books to help build home libraries;
    • Live art workshop by local artist Bryan Moss; and
    • Special performance from the Fort Hayes HS Jazz Ensemble.

    Families are encouraged to use the promotional code "CCS22" and reserve their free tickets in advance: https://www.columbusmuseum.org/admission-tickets/
