Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!
We would like to extend a special welcome to the students and families who receive gifted and talented services in Columbus City Schools!
If your student is new to gifted and talented services, you will learn that being identified as gifted in CCS and having talents to explore means lots of opportunities for students to grow.
Did you know?
- CCS provides gifted services to nearly 4,000 CCS students in grades K-12.
- Nearly 1,000 CCS students participated in the department's academic competitions and tournaments, including debate, chess, Power of the Pen, and national math challenges to name a few.
- CCS facilitates the largest talent development program in Ohio for students in grades K-2. It is called the PETS program and is offered in 40 of our elementary schools. We celebrate the program's 10th anniversary this year!
- We have the only gifted academy in Ohio that is embedded in a K-12 public school district? It is the Columbus Gifted Academy (CGA) and it serves students from 60+ schools in the district who are in grades 3-8.
There are no upcoming events to display.
