Gifted Endorsement Programs

As an alternative to the 60-hour requirement, teachers may opt to pursue a gifted endorsement for their Ohio teaching license. The following universities offer graduate programs in gifted education. Some are endorsements only. Most offer Master’s programs, and a few also offer doctoral programs. Check the individual universities for more details, including changes in program offerings (face to face versus online, etc.).
- Ashland University – Face to face classes in Ashland and throughout Central Ohio, Hybrid (face to face and online combined), Online options
- Cleveland State University – Online program
- Kent State University – Face to face classes in Kent and around Northeastern Ohio
- Muskingum University – Face to face and online program
- University of Cincinnati – Face to face and online programs
- Wright State University – Online program
- College of William and Mary – Face to face courses in Virginia, summer options available
- Purdue University – Face to face courses in Indiana
- University of Connecticut – Online program, face to face courses in Connecticut, and hybrid option (face to face in summer, online during the year)

- University of Virginia – Face to face in Virginia and online courses
