CCS Unveils New High School Course Guide
March 11, 2020 -- Columbus City Schools has just unveiled a new High School Course Guide publication that will assist students and families in their academic planning efforts.
Course selection is one of the most critical decisions that students and families will make as they navigate high school. Careful course selection will guide them on the path to college, the military, or a work training program, and ultimately the career of their choice.
Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon says, “There are many pathways that a student may choose to take, and the High School Course Guide will provide students with information about important course sequences, supports, and opportunities.”
As the publication was recently unveiled to the Board of Education, Chief Academic Officer Tracy Ocasio says, “This new Course Guide will also allow students to select a pathway based upon their areas of interests and talents, and will serve as a valuable tool for guidance counselors.”
