August 8, 2024 -- CCS Graduates Tia Ward and Asa Simpson-Cole present One Sound, a String Impact Annual Community Concert to take place on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Theater.

This string duo is composed of two multi-instrumentalists who founded String Impact in 2020 during COVID. Their goal is nothing short of transforming the everyday experiences of people through the power of music. "The Essence of Life Flows Through Music" is not just their quote; it encapsulates their belief in the transformative power of music. With a focus on love, joy, compassion, and healing, the duo aspires to reach the depths of the human soul, with our blend of R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, Electronic, and more – leaving hope, inspiration, peace, and happiness on the hearts of our listeners. The duo is dedicated to crafting a unique sonic experience through composing, producing, and arranging songs that resonates with a diverse audience. Music to us is more than just notes and rhythms; music is a conduit for emotions, conveying a profound message that connects everyday people beyond the surface. As we continue to share our music and sound with audiences, we hold true to the belief that "The Essence of Life Flows Through Music" stringimpact.org.

This year the show includes musicians from the Columbus City School district with recent graduates, and a few educators who will be participating in the event. This is the first year the show will have a live band. In previous years, the group have used backing tracks to provide accompaniment. We are looking forward to an inclusive experience with and for our community.
