Hamilton STEM Academy
Renovations are underway at Hamilton STEM Academy, and we are excited to share our progress! Hamilton STEM is receiving a major facelift with new floors, cabinetry, ceilings, technology, and furnishings just in time for the 2023-2024 school year.
Using ESSER funds, this $4 million comprehensive project is part of a larger investment to improve the District. To put this in perspective, the investment is only 15% of what a new elementary school building would cost to seat 600 students.
A couple of new systems are being piloted in this project, such as mobile 85” monitors for instructional technology and a classroom amplification system.
Mobile monitors were tested by teachers and selected not only due to efficiency but also because it is cost-effective to implement and support from a technological standpoint.
A classroom amplification system ensures students are able to hear their teacher no matter where they are sitting in the classroom. This system amplifies educator and student voices so that regardless of an individual’s ability to project their voice, it resonates throughout the room.
Capital Improvements worked closely with the building staff, administration, and teachers, to create the modernized classroom designs. Click here to see in-progress pictures of renovations at Hamilton STEM Academy (updated 8/10/23).
