graduate

December 15, 2023 – In the Linden-McKinley STEM Academy auditorium, a group of students of all ages crossed the graduation stage. Students gathered with family and friends to receive their certificate in Practical Nursing through the Columbus School of Practical Nursing.

Columbus City Schools’ Adult and Community Education offers the Practical Nursing program. It is an affordable 12-month program that gives adult students the skills needed to work in healthcare. The program has a robust history of over 60 years and a rigorous curriculum taught by highly-qualified staff. A personalized learning experience is provided for each student in the classroom to help prepare them for success in the nursing field.

Tanisha Wilson, President of the Winter Class of 2023, said that the program gave her and her fellow graduates the confidence they needed before joining the healthcare field. She is excited to see the work she and her classmates will accomplish as they enter the workforce.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted,” Wilson said in a speech to fellow graduates. “Continue to carry the passion in your heart because the world needs people like you.”

Congratulations to the Winter Class of 2023! Columbus City Schools is proud of your work and can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of you.
