Canvas for CCS Parents & Guardians

Canvas allows parents and guardians ("Observers") to view their student’s course information, announcements, assignment due dates and submissions, and grades/feedback.

How to Access Your Observer Canvas Account

• Visit https://ccsoh.instructure.com/ 
• Click "Parent of a Canvas User?" 
• Enter signup details*

*To register for a Canvas account, you will need a unique student pairing code. Instructions below.

Student Pairing Codes

To register for a Canvas Observer account, parents or guardians will need a unique student pairing code. Students can generate pairing codes for up to five observers that want to link to their account by following these steps:

• In Global Navigation, click "Account," then, "Settings"
• Click the "Pair with Observer" button

Each student pairing code can be used only once (for a single observer) and will expire after seven days or its first successful use.
