“Reading should not be presented to children as a chore or duty. It should be offered to them as a precious gift.” - Kate DiCamillo, award-winning author.
As students continue to grow both physically and emotionally, it is important to preserve their love of reading and curiosity about the world around them. We want to see students be successful both in and out of the classroom, and reading proficiency plays a big role.
Even though classes and assignments at these levels will become more challenging, it's important that families remain invested, ask questions, and avoid placing too much pressure on their students.
