Do I need to register in advance?

Registration is not required. However, check the CCS website or contact the district for any updates.

What should I expect at the event?
- The evening will begin with a keynote presentation, followed by interactive breakout sessions with school board members. There will also be opportunities to talk directly with district staff and provide feedback.

When can I arrive?

Doors open at 5 p.m.

Will food or refreshments be provided?

Yes! Light refreshments will be prepared by students in the Columbus Downtown Culinary Arts program.

Can I attend more than one workshop?

Absolutely. Please keep in mind each event will contain the same material. We suggest you only attend the workshop closest to you. However, you’re welcome to attend any or all of the workshops, regardless of your home school or neighborhood.

What if I can’t attend in person? Will I have an additional opportunity to share my voice?
- CCS team plans to share a video of the main presentation that will be available online, background information and presentation materials, along with a digital survey that the public can fill out sharing their input on future budgeting issues.

Will child care be provided at the events?
- No, but please feel free to bring your child, especially if you feel they would be engaged in the conversations. They are the future of CCS and their input is invaluable.

What topics will be discussed during the workshops?
- Discussions will focus on critical issues like the future of school buildings, transportation services, college and career readiness pathways, and overall budget priorities.

Why is community input needed now?
- The district is facing tough decisions due to future budget constraints. Community feedback will help CCS make informed, transparent, and student-focused choices about resources and priorities.

How long will the workshop be?

We anticipate the workshop will be about two hours long.
