    Columbus City Schools is seeking your input! Help shape the future of the District’s facilities. Our Facilities Master Plan (FMP) committee is hosting several community conversations and you’re invited to participate.

    “This is a critical moment in our District where we have an exciting opportunity to talk about what is the future of our buildings,” said Jennifer Adair, Columbus Board of Education President. “An important piece of our strategic master plan is to figure out what our actual buildings need to look like to meet our mission and vision. This is an opportunity to take inventory and discuss what our community and school buildings need.”

    Columbus City Schools is beginning a year-long FMP process in which community input is vitally important. We are starting by conducting Regional Community Conversations, which will be led by community volunteers and are open to the public to participate. Below is a schedule for the community conversations.

    Facilities Master Plan Committee Meeting - Time To Be Determined

    "We know our buildings are community centers,” said Board President Adair. “They are the hubs of our neighborhoods. We are using a regional approach not to pit region against region,  school against school, or community against community. The purpose is to bring more voices, more ideas, and more innovation to our conversation. It’s important for equity to be a big part of the conversation. Keeping equity at the center of the conversation to make sure every neighborhood, region, and school building gets what they need to meet the full vision of academic success.”

    Please complete the survey linked here to sign up for a Regional Community Conversation and submit your initial feedback on the state of the District’s school facilities. Ultimately, the year-long process will result in a comprehensive District Facility Master Plan.
