Adult & Community Education improves the lives of adult students through personalized, quality learning.We are currently taking student information for our Aspire classes for the spring term, which begins in April. We will be scheduling entrance tests for ESL and HSE and enrolling students throughout the month for this term. There will be day, evening, and weekend classes. We will have both virtual and in-person classes. Adult Workforce Education courses can be taken in health occupations, skilled trades, and computer applications. You can prepare to earn your high school equivalency by attending free classes, and foreign born adults can learn to read, write, and speak English in our (ESL) English for Speakers of Other Languages program.Classes are conveniently located at different sites throughout Franklin County. We encourage you to read through this website to see how we may help you reach your personal and career goals. Accreditation
Adult & Community Education, Columbus City Schools is approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and is nationally accredited through the Council on Occupational Education (COE). All instructors hold a teaching certificate issued by the Ohio Department of Education. The academic year for the Practical Nursing program is 960 hours. read more
