Adult & Community Education

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Nursing classes are currently being offered in a hybrid format. Students will attend classes at the Hudson Adult and Community Education Center several times each week, while receiving virtual instruction to fulfill additional course requirements. Currently, Aspire classes are offered entirely online, but we will begin in person classes at multiple locations throughout Columbus on September 21, 2020. If you are interested in Aspire classes, HSE (GED) or ESOL, either online or in person, please contact Tim Harry.

For over 60 years, the Columbus City Schools Department of Adult and Community Education has been committed to providing programs for lifelong learning. Adult Workforce Education courses can be taken in health occupations, skilled trades, and computer applications. You can prepare to earn your high school equivalency by attending free classes, and foreign born adults can learn to read, write, and speak English in our English for Speakers of Other Languages program.

Classes are conveniently located at different sites throughout Franklin County. We encourage you to read through this website to see how we may help you reach your personal and career goals. We welcome you to call our Customer Services office to register or to obtain additional information about our programs.
