Athletics at Columbus City Schools are housed within the Department of Student Services.

Involvement in middle and high school athletics is an important aspect of a student's overall academic success and his/her wellness.  Numerous studies show a positive correlation in students' academic success between students who participate in athletics and other extracurricular activities.

Participation in extracurricular activities also strengthens students' social growth and connection with the school, school staff and the community.
