Public Safety
- Public Safety students are exposed to police, fire, emergency medical services, corrections, security, and homeland security scenarios. Personnel from the Columbus Fire and Police Departments mentor students in the program. Students have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry and learn the importance of teamwork through classroom learning, lab activities, real-world assignments, and community service projects. The perfect candidates are students dedicated to serving our community. Physical fitness is a regular part of the class. Students learn how to perform first aid and CPR and can earn credentials. College credit available.
