Drama/Theatre Curriculum

Columbus City Schools recognizes that the drama/theatre curriculum provides students with structured, sequential instruction that develops artistic skills and deepens cultural understanding, and fosters personal growth. The curriculum supports academic integration with English Language Arts, history, and social-emotional learning, while providing authentic performance and production experiences.  The drama/theatre curriculum prepares students for a range of postsecondary opportunities, in the performing arts or in other fields, where collaboration, communication, leadership, and adaptability are essential.
