Special Announcement: School Choice Lottery (COVID-19)
- High School and Middle School Lottery Results will be published once school resumes.
- The Elementary School Lottery deadline will be extended for three weeks following the reopening of school.
- Due to the order from Governor Mike Dewine to close schools for COVID-19, Pre-K enrollment appointments will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date. As we do not have a confirmed date for schools to reopen, please watch the website for the revised Pre-K enrollment dates.
- Additionally, in an effort to handle changes due to COVID-19 equitably for all Pre-K families, a School Choice Lottery will be conducted for all available seats at Pre-K locations. This lottery will replace the First Come, First Served enrollment approach the District has used in the past. PLEASE NOTE: At the end of the 20-21 school year, General Education Pre-K students attending a non-100% lottery school will be enrolled into their school of address for kindergarten. Families wishing to remain in the Pre-K school for the 21-22 school year, will need to re-apply through the lottery for an opportunity to stay. General Education Pre-K students attending a 100% lottery school, will transition to kindergarten in the same school. The 100% Lottery Schools in which General Education Pre-K students will transition to the same school for kindergarten are: Columbus Africentric, Columbus Spanish Immersion, Duxberry, Ecole Kenwood and Oakland Park.
