BlendED Enrollment

  • Columbus City Schools BlendED Online Program for the 2022-2023 School Year

Are you looking to make the switch from in-person learning to online instruction for your child? If so, the Columbus City Schools BlendED program could be the right choice for your family. Our BlendED learning option offers a remote learning opportunity for families who prefer a less traditional school setting.

Enrollment in the program is a one-year commitment. Enrollment closed on February 28th for students currently enrolled in CCS.

Columbus City Schools BlendED Program is for Kindergarten through 12th grade students who prefer a primarily online learning environment with the periodic option for in-person support, assessment completion, and engaging and enriching learning experiences. Students will learn primarily online and benefit from:

    • Full-time teacher supports five (5) days a week
    • Teacher availability during school hours
    • A balance of synchronous and asynchronous instruction for students, including reduced screen time
    • In-person testing, orientation, help sessions, and extended learning opportunities

The program is a one-year commitment. Students who enroll in BlendED relinquish their lottery seat and are returned back to their home school by address if space permits the following year.

Families who enroll to attend CCS after February 28th, for the 22-23 school year, will have the opportunity to enroll in BlendED provided there are seats available at the appropriate grade level.

Log into the CCS Parent Portal to enroll.

Important Information for High School Students Enrolled in BlendED for 2022-2023

Due to changes by the Ohio Department of Education, BlendED will become a school, instead of a program, for the 2022-2023 school year.  This does not change the type of instruction by BlendED, however it will change the school from which your child will receive their diploma upon graduation.  Your student will continue to be permitted to participate in sports and extra-curricular activities at the school of address and will have the opportunity to walk across the stage for graduation at the school of address. However, the diploma earned will be issued from BlendED.Due to this change, if you would prefer for your child to attend in person, at the school of address, so that their diploma will be issued by a brick-and-mortar school, please complete the  Request to Return to the School of Address for BlendED form and return the completed form to by Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
