    2020-2021 Online Registration Instructions

    CCS Professional Learning and Licensure contracts with Ashland University-Columbus to offer a variety of one-semester hour courses (and two two-semester hour courses) exclusively for certificated Columbus City Schools staff members.  Each of these tuition-free continuing education courses will enroll up to 25 people.  All spring Ashland Outreach courses will be held virtually.  Fee waivers are not needed to attend these courses.

    Please note  - Ashland University will assess a $50 no-show fee directly to students who enroll in a class and do not attend class without appropriate drop out notification in writing to col-pds@ashland.edu 48 hours prior to the start of the class.  Students will also be dropped from further classes.  No reminders are sent about classes so be sure to add the class information to your calendar when you register!

    You will not be able to cancel online.  If it is necessary to cancel a class once you are registered, you will need to email col-pds@ashland.edu 48 hours prior to the start of the class.  Please include the course number, title and dates in your email.

     

    Please follow these instructions to use the Ashland University ONLINE registration for your school system.

    1. Click on https://www.ashland.edu/pds
    2. On the right, click on DISTRICT LOGIN.
    3. Enter the USER NAME: CCS and PASSWORD: CCS
    4. Select class - click the title of the class you want to attend. Click the green “register for this course” button at the bottom of the description. 
    5. Check the check box before the title of the class.
    6. SP Registration form will appear, enter your personal data and click submit
    7. *OPTIONAL Addition registration info, click submit
    8. Payment information: Choose Register Now (Checkout)
    9. YOU MUST CLICK SUBMIT to complete registration.

    The Ohio State University Outreach Courses

     

    Columbus City Schools’ Division of Professional Learning & Licensure is once again partnering with The Ohio State University to offer the CCS/OSU Outreach Courses during spring semester.  Courses are for certificated staff employed by Columbus City Schools with the exception of substitute teachers and substitute administrators.

     

    Teachers who meet OSU’s requirements and enroll in a course will have all Instructional and General Fees (i.e., tuition) paid.  Individuals will be responsible for any additional fees for materials (including on-line learning fees if applicable), applying to the OSU Graduate School (if not a prior student), and for the cost of OSU’s Tk20 online program (required for all endorsements).
