The Continuing Contract Process is now Complete. The next application process will begin
January 2, 2023.
Requirements can be found in the CEA Agreement book - section 401.08.
Continuing Contracts from another District
To qualify, you must be employed with CCS for 2 years, provide documentation of your previous contract with another district and meet all the other requirements found in the CEA Agreement or have 3 years with CCS. If you left CCS with a continuing contract and you are returning, then you will automatically continue that contract with CCS.
If your license was first issued after January 1, 2011, you must have your license for 7 years to qualify.
Semester hours of coursework needed
If you had your bachelors at the time you initially received your very first license in the state of Ohio, then you need 30 semester hours of 300 level coursework.
If you had your masters at the time you initially received your very first license in the state of Ohio, then you need 6 semester hours of graduate level coursework.
Transcripts
Transcripts that show your bachelors and/or your master's degree conferred date are required. If CCS has them already on file, then you do not have to submit new ones (it is your responsibility to ensure the transcripts on file are correct).
If your transcript is in any other name besides the one we have listed, you will need to notify the Licensure office when you submit your application.
The transcript key must be included with all applications.
Any hours before the issue date of your license cannot be counted.
