Our 2025 Summer Experience kicks off Monday, June 23 for Pre-K through 8th grade Columbus City Schools students. Here are a few more details to help you and your student have an unforgettable, immersive summer learning opportunity.
Schedules
- PreK-8 Family Open House: June 18, 2025

Elementary & Middle School (PreK-8): June 23 - July 18, 2025

High School (9-12): June 9 - July 18, 2025

Elementary & Middle School Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

High School Hours: Hours vary by building

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided daily for all students.
- No school for HS students on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

No school on Friday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
Student Expectations
- School sites will provide all other supplies such as pens, paper, pencils, etc.
- During the Summer Experience, students are expected to follow all policies, rules, and guidelines outlined in the Guide to Student Success.
Transportation
Yellow School Bus Transportation is provided this summer for the following students:
- Elementary School students
- Middle School students
- Transportation must be selected during the registration process in the Parent Portal.
Communicating with your Child’s Teacher and School
- Check your child’s backpack regularly for notes, fliers, and other information from your child’s teacher, including the teacher’s email address.
English as a Second Language Students
- ESL support will be available at school sites to assist ESL students in the classroom.
- Parents can also reach out to the ESL Language Assistance Center: Summer Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
