  • Summer Experience

    Summer Experience offers elementary students an exciting opportunity to learn, grow, and make new friends as they spend four weeks participating in grade-specific enrichment activities at various locations across the city. 

    The program's focus will be on developing students' academic skills, leadership, and social-emotional learning through hands-on, project-based activities, team-building exercises, and design challenges based on a specific theme.

    We want students to be excited about learning while they continue strengthening the foundational literacy and math skills they will need to succeed next school year. Students will engage in off-site experiences with community partners and work on story-telling and creativity with bestselling authors. 

    Elementary Summer Experience also features unique, innovative programming for students at the following school sites:

    • Culinary Arts: Georgian Heights Elementary School (Grades PreK-4)
    • Entrepreneurship: East Linden Elementary School (Grades K-4)
    • Environmental Science: Olde Orchard Alternative Elementary School (Grades PreK-4)
    • Health & Fitness: Southwood Elementary School (Grades K-4)
    • Performing Arts: Cedarwood Alternative Elementary School (Grades PreK-4)
    • Service-Learning: Shady Lane Elementary School (Grades PreK-4)
    • STEM: Westgate Elementary School (Grades PreK-4)
    • Urban Agriculture: Columbus Spanish Immersion Academy (Grades K-4)
    • World Languages & Cultures: Huy/A.G. Bell Elementary School (Grades PreK-4)
    • Zoology:  Ecole Kenwood French Immersion Elementary School (Grades K-4)
