Columbus City Schools recognizes that vocal music instruction is a vital component of a well-rounded education, fostering personal growth, academic achievement, and community engagement.  Singing is one of the most accessible forms of music-making, requiring no external instrument beyond the human voice, and therefore provides all students with an immediate entry point into the study and practice of music. Vocal music instruction contributes to the lifelong enjoyment of the arts.
