Satya Yarramsetty, MBA, CISA, CRISC, CDPSE

Satya Yarramsetty is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) who has been working for the Office of Internal Audit of the Columbus City Schools since 2021.

Prior to joining the Office of Internal Audit team, Satya worked 23 years in Information Technology (IT) space at Nationwide Insurance, Columbus. During his early tenure, Satya played key roles in developing and debugging the application code, managing the projects with triple constraints, making the financial applications Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliant and ensuring the IT regulatory controls established.

Satya led KPMG and Ernst & Young annual audits.  He served as liaison between IT application owners and external audit teams in resolving the IT audit issues to meet enterprise certification needs. Satya handled numerous complicated assignments among testing of 21 types of financial controls built for 121 systems with complex architecture.

He has been serving for 25 plus years in multiple capacities including the founding trustee for a local non-profit organization, achieving the organization’s goals, mission and vision.

Satya is an MBA graduate from Ohio University. Prior to migrating to USA, in India, Satya has completed his Graduate degree from Anna University and Undergraduate degree from Nagarjuna University.  

Prior to joining at Nationwide Mutual Insurance located in Columbus Ohio, Satya began his IT career at Silverline Inc, Chennai, India. In 1998, his strong analytical and technical skills aided him in becoming eligible for an employment visa in the USA.  

Satya is an active Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) member. He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), and the Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA).
