The Lucile Cornetet Scholarship
The Lucille Cornetet Scholarship fund was started for students of Latin in Columbus City Schools. Miss Cornetet was a retired schoolteacher with Columbus City Schools. She taught for 39 years, 34 of those as a Latin teacher. It was Miss Cornetet’s desire to make a scholarship available to Columbus City Schools graduating seniors and/or graduates who studied Latin.
This scholarship is intended for graduating seniors or graduates of Columbus City schools who have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and have taken a minimum of two years of Latin. The candidate must attend a public or nonprofit independent college or university in the U.S.
