Project SEARCH

Project SEARCH is a one-year internship and employment program designed for students with disabilities who are in their last year of high school. The program is dedicated to workforce development that benefits the individual, community and workplace.
Eligibility Requirements
Each student applies to the program and is accepted through a selection committee based on the criterion below:
- 18-22 years old
- In last year of high school eligibility
- Desire to work in the community
- Willing to access independent transportation options
- Meets all academic requirements for graduation (with deferred or social graduation)
- Has basic communication skills
- Has appropriate social, grooming and hygiene skills
- Has independent toilet and feeding skills
- Able to pass a drug screen and felony check
- Has updated immunizations
- Has Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities referral made or in process
- Has FCBDD referral made or in process
